I know that summertime is really here when the wonderful stone fruit start to be plentiful and cheap. Peaches, nectarines, apricots, plums, cherries – hooray! My own peach tree is loaded up after three years of patient waiting and the peaches will be ripe soon.

I confess to being a bit of a gadget tragic. Some (ok, more than some) have been consigned to the useless kitchen items drawer, but not this one. Yes, I have an exciting new gadget!  It is an instant single icy pole/ice cream/popsicle maker from
