I dropped into Dench for a coffee with my Mum yesterday, and we decided to grab lunch. There’s only one labelled vegan option on the menu at the moment – scrambled tofu – so that’s what I ate. This is not a breakfast style scrambled ‘egg’ on toast type of tofu. It is an asian style plate of goodness with soy, sweet, salty, chilli, sesame and seaweed flavours, made even better by some crunch from bok choy, mushroom, capsicum and pumpkin seeds. I really enjoyed it.
Their bread is always excellent, and vegan too, with the exception of a couple of the fruit loaves.
